Lend a Hand

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Midquarter is almost here. Progress Reports will be sent home on Monday, November 14th. As the year speeds to an end, there are many things you can do to help our class and our school.
Donate classroom supplies. Tissues and hand sanitizer are running low in room 319. Please send us some of these supplies that are so necessary this time of year.
Boost schoolwide attendance. Please only keep children home from school if they are sick. Students miss out on learning and class activities and the school loses funding when students don't attend.
Donate turkeys or your cooking skills. Our annual Thanksgiving Feast will be here soon. On November 22nd school staff and volunteers will cook up a delicious Thanksgiving meal for the entire school, but we need your help to do this! Sixth grade is in charge of providing turkey for our school. If you see any good turkey sales, pick up an extra one and send it to LPA. If you would prefer to cook it you can do that as well, or volunteer to cook a turkey donated by another family.
Donate money. You may make tax deductible donations to our school. As the year draws to an end, this is a great way to provide money for education in our community at no cost to yourself. Please stop by the front desk for paperwork or see Mrs. Stewart for more information.
Get fingerprinted. The 6th grade will be taking a trip to the Biosphere 2 at the end of this semester. We will need chaperones to accompany us. If you would like to share a truly memorable and educational experience with your child please let me know and schedule an appointment to get fingerprinted at the office.
Thank you,
Ms. Vasquez
