Just a reminder: Every month, students are responsible for reading at least 300 minutes independently. Their February Reading Logs will be due the week of Feb. 28th - March 4th.
Also, students have been given Spelling words each Monday this semester and they have had Spelling Tests every Friday. These are part of their Writing grades. Most of the words come from the novels we are reading this year, though I am also adding common words that I notice students misspelling regularly. Helping your students study would be a great way to help them improve their vocabulary, reading, and writing skills.
Finally, we will be having a special pottery making session in class on Tuesday, 2/22. Please make sure that students wear, or bring, clothes that can get messy.
