Today the PTO will be showing Ice Age 3 at our campus from 6-7:30. The movie is shown free of cost.
This week, my students have been hard at work researching ancient civilizations. In all, 5 regions of the world have been covered. I look forward to hearing the group presentations that students are preparing for Tuesday, November 10th. This Social Studies unit complements our current reading of A Single Shard.
We have several important days coming up in November:
1) Next Wednesday there is no school due to Veteran's Day.
2) Next Friday, November 13th marks the middle of the 2nd quarter. There is also an LPA Boston Market Fundraiser that evening.
3) I will send progress reports out on Monday, November 16th.
4) Tuesday November 17th is our Skate Night from 6 to 8 pm.
5) Tuesday, November 24th we will hold a school-wide Thanksgiving Feast! Fifth and Sixth grade have been given the honor of providing turkeys this year. I will send more information home, and post it here, soon.
